National Peanut Cluster Day

The story

Let's rewind to ancient times, around 1900 BC, when chocolate first made its appearance as a popular beverage. But it wasn't the chocolate bars we know today! Back then, people sipped on it like a fancy drink.

Fast forward to the 15th century, and Christopher Columbus brought chocolate back to Spain and kicked off a chocolate craze. The catch? It was still more of a drink than a snack.

Things got exciting in 1847 when Joseph Fry decided to mix cocoa powder with sugar and cocoa butter. This genius move made chocolate moldable, and people couldn't get enough of it! With moldable chocolate on the scene, it didn't take long for folks to start experimenting.

So they tossed some peanuts into this chocolate mix. Peanuts were becoming more readily available, thanks to steam-powered farming around the turn of the century. And bam!
