The story

Back in 1948, a guy named Morrie Yohai, who worked at Old London Foods in New York, was trying to create something using cornmeal-based animal feed. By accident, their machines processed the cornmeal under high pressure, and, voila, cheese doodles were born in a tubular shape. To make them even more mouthwatering, they experimented with baking different cheese flavorings until they found the perfect mix. Cheese Doodlez hit the market but faced tough competition from Cheetos, another popular cheese snack. In 1965, the Borden Condensed Milk Company bought Old London Foods, and Cheez Doodle found its new home. Wise, another snack-food company under Borden, created Crunchy Cheez Doodles in the late 1960s because people couldn't get enough of these cheesy delights. The shape, the flavor, and even the cheese dust-covered fingers were all part of the fun. Fast forward to today, and cheese doodles are a beloved snack with various flavors. They're a must-have at parties and even find their way into other dishes. Just like their accidental creation, cheese doodles have become a snack sensation with a life of their own. That's why they get a special day all to themselves.
